Geil Front Loading, Downdraft Gas Kilns |
| Originally designed in 1971, the Geil Downdraft design has been refined and improved, while remaining faithful to the original. These kilns are available lined with fire brick or fiber, and with natural or forced draft. Uniquely designed, the Geil kiln eliminates the need for bag walls, allowing the full interior to be utilized for stacking. The flue is located at the center of the rear wall, pulling the atmosphere downward through the chamber. Cntrol of atmosphere and temperature is achieved by adjusting the damper and main gas valve, which regulates the venturi, natural draft burners. |
