Alligator Clay pottery classes are geared to be a fun introduction to throwing and handbuilding basics that will wet your appetite enough to forge ahead and explore this creative medium further. The objective of the class is to learn how to make fundamental forms which you will embellish with your own style.

THROWING CLASS DESCRIPTION: This class will familiarize you with the wheel and basic tools, centering, throwing, and the fundamentals of the firing and glazing process. You will learn simple variations on the cylinder: bowls, cups, vases, etc. Classes will start with a demonstration with the forms to be worked on. You will utilize the majority of your time focusing on that form. Please be on time for class so you don't miss the demonstration.
CLASS FEE IS $200.00 which includes instruction, first 25 lbs. clay, glazes, firing, access to additional studio time. Access to the studio is available to any current student during office hours, including Saturday mornings.
Class sizes are limited to about 10 students each for excellent teacher-student interaction so reserve now to make sure you can attend.
Dates are subject to change with advance notice if attendance is too low.
