Class Descriptions:
Beginning Throwing Class: This class will familiarize you with the wheel and basic tools, centering, throwing, and the fundamentals of the firing and glazing process. You will learn simple variations on the cylinder: bowls, cups, vases, etc. Classes will start with a little chat about what the goal for that class is followed by a brief demonstration. You will utilize the majority of your time focusing on your work and what the project for that class is with the instructor’s personal attention.
Intermediate Throwing Class: These classes will expand on the individuals' basic skills and address any technical difficulties.
Handbuilding Class: In this class you will be introduced to the many techniques of hand building, coiling, molds. Slab table and an extruder are all means used to make pots.
Schedules:
This class in pottery making will be a fun introduction to throwing basics that will hopefully wet your appetite enough to forge ahead and explore this activity further. The objective of the class is to make beautiful art and pottery using clay and glazes. Class size is limited so reserve now - Dates are subject to change with advance notice if attendance is too low.

Fees:
$225.00 for Six (6) 3-hour classes, personalized instruction, includes 25 lbs. clay, pottery plaster to make 3 hump molds you will be able to take home, glazes, firing, access to additional studio time. Access to the studio is available to any current student during office hours, including Saturday mornings.

When we receive your reservation with payment we'll send you a confirmation email with supply list and syllabus. Payments are non-refundable after 1st class. Make-up classes are encouraged if there is another class going on.
